By accessing or using SafePath, you agree to these Terms of Service and the SafePath Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

1. About SafePath

SafePath is a parent support and organisation platform designed to help parents navigate the child protection and reunification process in Australia.

  • SafePath is not a legal service, government agency, medical service, counselling service, or emergency service.
  • SafePath does not provide legal representation, case management decisions, crisis intervention, or professional therapeutic services.
  • AI-generated summaries, checklists, guidance, and service suggestions are for general support and organisational purposes only and may not always be accurate, complete, or up to date.
  • Users should verify important information with their lawyer, caseworker, doctor, counsellor, or relevant professional.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using SafePath, you agree to these Terms of Service and the SafePath Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the platform.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into these Terms of Service to create an account and use SafePath. SafePath is intended for use by parents, authorised caseworkers, and approved support organisations within Australia.

4. Account Responsibility

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account.

  • Do not share your account login credentials with anyone.
  • Contact SafePath immediately if you believe your account has been accessed without your authorisation.
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

5. Authorised Use

SafePath is provided for the purpose of helping parents organise their child protection case information. Authorised uses include:

  • Uploading and reviewing your own case documents.
  • Tracking compliance tasks and appointments.
  • Recording reflections, journal entries, and progress notes.
  • Communicating with assigned caseworkers through the platform.
  • Using AI tools to help understand documents and requirements.

6. Prohibited Use

You must not use SafePath to:

  • Upload documents belonging to other people without their consent.
  • Attempt to access another user's account or information.
  • Engage in unlawful activity.
  • Upload illegal, harmful, or offensive content.
  • Circumvent platform security measures or access controls.
  • Misrepresent your identity or role on the platform.

7. Uploaded Documents

Users must only upload documents they are legally permitted to possess and use.

  • SafePath is not responsible for the content of documents you upload.
  • Uploading documents that you do not have the right to possess or share may have legal consequences.
  • SafePath does not verify the authenticity or accuracy of documents you upload.

8. AI Tools

SafePath uses AI to assist users with document understanding, task tracking, and guidance. The following limitations apply to all AI features:

  • AI output is for general support and organisation only.
  • AI output is not legal, medical, counselling, or professional advice.
  • AI may not always be accurate, complete, or current.
  • Users should not rely solely on AI output for important decisions.
  • AI does not make decisions about your case or your children.

9. No Guarantees

SafePath does not guarantee:

  • Reunification outcomes.
  • Court outcomes or decisions.
  • DCP decisions.
  • Service availability or wait times.
  • The accuracy of AI-generated summaries or suggestions.
  • Caseworker decisions or responses.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, SafePath is not liable for any loss, damage, claim, delay, interruption, or outcome arising from the use of the platform or reliance on information provided through SafePath. This includes, without limitation, loss of data, legal outcomes, personal injury, or financial loss.

11. Platform Availability

  • SafePath may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the platform at any time without notice.
  • SafePath does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free platform availability.
  • SafePath is not responsible for service interruptions caused by factors outside its reasonable control.

12. Intellectual Property

All platform content, design, structure, AI guidance frameworks, workflows, and written materials are the intellectual property of Michelle Goodman and SafePath Australia.

  • You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, sell, or reuse SafePath materials without written permission.
  • Your personal data and documents remain your property.

13. Suspension or Removal of Accounts

SafePath reserves the right to suspend or remove accounts that misuse the platform, engage in unlawful activity, attempt unauthorised access, or breach these Terms of Service. Where possible, SafePath will notify users before taking action.

14. Changes to These Terms

SafePath may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Where changes are significant, users will be notified within the platform. Continued use of SafePath after notification constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of South Australia, Australia. Any disputes arising in connection with SafePath will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of South Australia.
